Greyton Toad Hall is your private away from home destination for groups , weddings, retreats or small functions and conveniently located right in the heart of the village. Â With the largest pool in Greyton- 10m by 5m sunny saltwater pool replete with its own hand painted toad, an 8 seater wood fired hot tub, fireplace and firepit and a fully enclosed 2000 square metre garden with great views of the mountains and full cooking facilities, this is a truly magical place to rent.
Sleeping up to 18 in 7 ensuite rooms with the 8th being a family/dorm room sleeping 4 on single beds with its shower/bathroom located 2m away and, by arrangement up to 22 people with the addition of the two deluxe king rooms in the historic house, this is an entertainers paradise.
Around the pool area is a gas, wood braai, Weber and a wood-fired pizza oven. If you are into smoking your food, the wood braai has a smoker attachment.  The pool area has loungers, pool towels, floating pool loungers not to mention the flamingo.
A large kitchen/ dining room with crockery, glassware, cutlery, pots/pans/platters/bowls and the like for 22 people, large airfryer, desktop oven/hotplate, fridge/freezer and indoor long table seating 12 is located in the back cottage, with plenty more tables and chairs in the garden.
Our stoep is famous for watching the activities of the town – being right in the centre of town you couldn’t pick a better place to have a gin and tonic and watch the horses (sometimes the cows) amble by and people watch.
The lounge room has a wood fireplace, games and books, guitar, croquet and bowls and plenty of comfy sofas.
All bedrooms have their own private entrance off the garden and have tea/ coffee making facilities, 2 are also self catering and some rooms have bar fridges as well.
Invertors and solar panels means guests are not affected by load shedding.
All restaurants and bars are within a 5 minute stroll – feel free to do takeaway and enjoy it in the garden or on the stoep. We also provide details of local caterers, local activities and the like- make the most of your break and have massages in the garden or under the gazebo.
From time to time we also rent out individual rooms.

- The two self catering units- Chief Weasel and Wild Woods have a bar fridge/freezer, kettle, two plate desktop oven, toaster, coffee plunger, lots of useful utensils, pot and pans, cutlery, mugs, glasses, oil, salt and pepper.
- Non self catering units have coffee plunger, mugs, wine/water glasses an tea/coffee making facilities.
- In addition to this, our deluxe kings- Portly Otter and Willow Wren also have a bar fridge/freezer.
- Wifi is free and there are Bluetooth Sonos speakers in the gardens to play your favourite tunes.
- We have electric blankets/ spare blankets in the chillier months and a fireplace in the lounge
- Security cameras and monitored alarm company
- Daily room service, cleaning and babysitting can be arranged at additional cost

A honeymoon king room and deluxe king room ensuites in the historical house River Ratty and Mole’s End- are available by discussion/ additional cost to bring the total number of guests to 22.
Accommodation rates and booking procedures
To secure booking 50% deposit required to secure dates. All bookings are minimum two nights. 100% refund 15 days or more from arrival. 0% refundable 14 days pre arrival.
For group bookings we heat the hot tub for first time use ready for the time you select and leave some wood to adjust the temperature later on . Subsequent nights we can sell you wood or feel free to bring your own.
Rates for up to 18 persons ranges from 14,000 – 21,000 a night depending on the season. The addition of the 2 rooms in the historical house is 4,800 in total a night, depending on season.
Restrictions
Pets are allowed…max 2 on the property with a charge of 200R a night per animal. We do have 2 free range chickens- if an issue we can temporarily rehome them. Portly Otter and Willow Wren rooms have closeable fences on their private garden, thus suiting pet owners or young children.
All rooms are non smoking but feel free to smoke in the gardens/ stoep
.
There is no fence or cover around the pool or hot tub and guests are responsible as to water access by any children.
